The fast paced London lifestyle applies to the music scene too. We're here to break down the latest releases and emerging artists for you.
New Track
Our Girl - Our Girl

The last few years have seen the rise of all girl bands and Our Girl is a welcome addition. Their new song Our Girl was the bands first demo and inspired the name of the group! We love it and were instantly grabbed by the guitar effects and dreamy vocals. The two complement each other well; the guitar can seem busy and chaotic at times, but vocals are smooth and soothing. Fans might recognise Soph Nathan of The Big Moon fame as the lead singer and guitarist, who absolutely kills it we should add.
Our Girl have just announced a London headline show at Moth in May. It would be a great chance to catch the band that has taken the London guitar underworld by storm.
New Artist
Rex Orange County

Rex Orange County needs to be applauded. Seriously, give the man a crown or something. In two short years Alex O'Connor has produced two self-released albums and has worked with the likes of Skepta, Frank Ocean(!) and Tyler, The Creator. So maybe not technically 'new' but Rex Orange County is worthy of the spotlight for those who have not yet experienced his sound.
It's the rough edges that make Rex Orange County so unique and this can probably be attributed to his straying away from record labels. He has an array of upbeat tunes and ballads with obvious injections of jazz, indie and hip-hop. It really is a marvel to behold.
New Video
Park Hotel - Good People Bad Dreams
The self-described 'doom disco' duo, Park Hotel, are back with their third single release. Good People Bad Dreams is an uptempo ode to decadent funk. The duel vocals are reminiscent of The XX but tonally this is a very different experience. Disco beats combined with carefully used guitar and percussion produce an inspiring energy that feels totally fresh.
We love the music video that uses various illustrations to bring the song lyrics to life.
Anything else?
London's KOKO has just announced that they will be welcoming Californian music group Brockhampton. The band will be touring their third album, Saturation III and are set to appear on Monday August 20th. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am.
