Get ready for St. Patrick’s Day with our music guide

This Saturday why not celebrate St. Patrick´s day with some Irish music in London. There are a lot to do starting Friday 16. To Sunday 18. We have a list of the best music happenings below.


London’s St. Patrick’s Day parade

Where: The streets from Piccadilly to Trafalgar Square

When: 16.-18. March

What: A stream of leprechaun floats, musicians and squads of Irish dancers will fill the streets, and the main stage at Trafalgar Square will be surrounded with a line-up of Irish bands. This is a parade with a lot of good music, amazing costumes and of course the lovely color green. It is definitely worth checking out at least once in your lifetime.


Concert with Nathan Carter

Where: London Palladium , Soho

When: 17. March 7:30pm

What: The acclaimed Liverpool-born singer-songwriter and musician performs a special St Patrick's Day concert full of his country and Irish material with Celtic influences.


Paddy’s Party

Where: Pop Brixton, Brixton

When: 17. March 5:00pm

What: This is an annual St Paddys Day party at the Pop Brixton with live music from London Ceilidh band Fiddle Paradiddle. You can also try some Irish dancing. Bonus tip: If you’re called Patrick you can get yourself a free pint of Guiness.

Folk Of The Wood: St Patrick's Ceilidh Where: Portico Gallery, West Norwood When: 16. March 7:00pm

What: Sing and dance to Irish songs. There will be foot stomping fiddles and if you don’t know how to do it, you can learn it.


St. Patricks Day Concert

by Central Band of the Royal British Legion

Where: St John the Evangelist, Upper Norwood. Sylvan Road, London SE19 2RX

When: 17. March 6:30-8:00pm

What: This is a St Patrick’s Day Concert featuring Riverdance & The Irish Washerwoman, the music of Nigel Hess, Gustav Holst, Vaughan Williams and many more.




St Patrick's Day All Female Music Trail Where: Camden Marked When: 17. March 12:00-7.00pm What: Like last year there will be a female acoustic music trail of seven acts around the Camden Market, finishing with a headline gig in Dr. Martens in the evening. It starts at 1.00pm with Maija Sofia and KERB Counter and finishes at 7.00pm.
